Marine Corps to Hit 94% Vaccination Rate

November 22, 2021

As many as 10,000 active duty Marines will be unvaccinated by the Nov. 28 deadline, The Washington Post reported. The branch is expected to hit a 94% vaccination rate, making it the least vaccinated branch across DOD.

“When something bad happens around the world and the president says, ‘I need to know how long it’s going to take to get Marines there,’ it’s too late then to get vaccinated,” Commandant David Berger said in a recent video message to Marines.

Navy Secretary Carlos del Toro said that Marines who refuse the shots will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
