Biden Nominates Erik Raven, Kristyn Jones to Key Pentagon Jobs

President Biden announced Monday that longtime Senate aide Erik Raven will be nominated to become under secretary of the Navy. Raven is currently the majority clerk on the Senate Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. The under secretary role has been filled by various acting officials since April 2020.

He is also nominating Kristyn Jones to become Air Force comptroller. A West Point graduate, Jones has held multiple DOD and defense-related positions in and out of government. She is currently a managing director at KPMG.
