The Kentucky National Guard has mobilized hundreds of its members to help communities hit by weekend tornadoes that killed at least 80 people. The Pentagon said it does not anticipate sending Guard troops from other states to help, Military.com reported….

The head of the Oklahoma National Guard has acknowledged to his members that their Guard career is at risk if they choose not to get vaccinated against COVID-19. “Anyone exercising their personal responsibility and deciding not to take the vaccine, must realize that the potential for career ending federal action, barring a favorable court ruling, legislative intervention, or a change in policy is present,” Adjutant General Brig. Gen. Thomas Mancino wrote in a message to his members. The Pentagon denied Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt’s (R) request to waive the mandate for his state’s Guard, saying unvaccinated troops will be unable to participate in training and therefore unable to continue serving.
