Senate Faces Tight Deadline on Debt Limit

President Biden has signed technical legislation allowing a simple up-or-down Senate vote on raising the debt limit. The Senate will take the debt limit measure up this week.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen has said that Wednesday is the deadline to act before the government begins defaulting on its debts.
