January 31, 2022

Blue Star Families is hosting a virtual event Wednesday and Thursday to share the results of its survey, on the diverse experiences of military & veteran families of color.

The first part of the event – Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. ET – will highlight stories from diverse military and veteran care leaders and families. At the second part of the event – Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. ET – researchers from Blue Star Families and the Institute for Veterans & Military Families at Syracuse University will release survey data. Those sessions will include analysis and audience questions.

Blue Star Families’ Racial Equity and Inclusion initiative recognizes that service members and their families are not immune to the effects of racism while they serve. Blue Star Families wants to proactively address inequities in the service experiences of military families of color and is working to increase their sense of belonging in communities worldwide.
