The Air Force is close to a decision on where to base Space Command headquarters, Gen. James H. Dickinson, commander of U.S. Space Command, said Tuesday, according to Military.com.
“I think the decision is going to come out shortly,” Dickinson said. “I don’t have a date or time. That is a decision by the secretary of the Air Force, and I know that they have been doing a very deliberate analysis of the two reports that came out.”
The reports from the DOD inspector general and the Government Accountability Office reviewed whether the decision in the final days of the Trump administration to move headquarters from Colorado Springs, Colorado to Huntsville, Alabama was made properly.
“I know that Secretary Kendall has been doing a very methodical analysis of those two reports,” Dickinson said. “And so, quite frankly, I look forward to the decision.”
