Gombi, a military working dog, has retired after more than five years of service at Marine Corps Logistics Base-Albany, Georgia, according to an Albany Herald article republished by Military.com. The 8-year-old German Shepard has worked throughout Georgia and also deployed to California’s southern border in 2021, responding to 562 calls, which contributed to the discovery of almost $200 million worth of illegal narcotics.
