Give Us Your Best Shot: ADC Launches First-of-Its-Kind Photo Contest

April 27, 2023

ADC has launched a new program to highlight the work of DOD photographers and photojournalists, who work every day to show the nation what military life is like at installations and when troops are deployed. The Defense Community Photo Contest celebrates photographers’ work, especially images that show the collaboration between installations and communities.

“We are constantly inspired by the talents of DOD photographers and sometimes the occasional civilian with a camera who just happens to be at the right place at the right time,” ADC Director of Communications Grace Marvin said. “This contest aims to recognize their work.”

DOD and non-DOD photographers can submit their work through July 14. In addition to cash prizes, the photographs will be considered for the fall 2023 edition of America’s Defense Communities magazine and could even appear on the cover.
