Community members and Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, leaders joined together recently to celebrate Greater Omaha’s designation as a Great American Defense Community. The celebration took place at the Offutt Advisory Council’s Offutt Appreciation Day Picnic.

“Congratulations on this achievement, and thank you to the people that make this an incredible place for service members to call home,” said ADC Board Member Jerrod Wheeler, who attended the event along with ADC Executive Director Matt Borron.

Greater Omaha is one of five regions in the 2023 class of Great American Defense Communities. USAA is the program’s official sponsor.
