The senior enlisted leaders of each DOD branch will testify at a Wednesday hearing of the House Armed Services Committee’s special panel on quality of life.

The panel is chaired by Reps. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) and Chrissy Houlahan (D-Pa.). After a series of meetings over the past year, the panel is developing recommendations on such issues as pay, housing and child care. Its recommendations are expected to be released in the coming weeks for consideration during this year’s defense authorization discussions.
