Allies for Cherry Point’s Tomorrow, which advocates for Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina, has restructured as a charitable, nonprofit organization. That allows the group to launch the Allies for Cherry Point’s Tomorrow Scholarship Fund for Transitioning Service Members, the Sun Journal reported. “We’ve targeted that funding and this scholarship to go towards different certifications and educations that typically are not covered by the GI Bill,” Havelock Mayor Will Lewis said….

A new bus system is solving long-time transportation problems at Fort Cavazos, Texas, KXXV reported. “When you came to visit someone on post, then you didn’t know where things were, it would make it much, much more difficult to get around,” said Will Franklin, executive officer of Army Field Support Battalion Cavazos. Cavazos Connector is a series of 13 buses that make 28 stops across the base.
