The Des Moines Water Works plans more testing for PFAS pollutants at the Iowa Air National Guard base after levels 200 times the federal governments health advisory were detected, according to a report by Iowa Public Radio. Water Works officials don’t think PFAS are present in customers’ water lines, but it requires testing because the utility doesn’t routinely screen for PFAS…
Michigan will join a growing number of states establishing enforceable regulations for PFAS pollutants in public drinking water, Mlive.com reported. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer ordered the state Department of Environmental Quality to begin drafting regulations establishing drinking water standards for PFAS, and expedited draft rules are expected by fall….
The Wisconsin GI Bill provides all Wisconsin veterans extra GI Bill benefits, and certain disabled veterans may receive additional benefits for the veteran, their spouse and their children, Military Times reported. Disabled veteran spouses and their children could each receive up to 128 credit hours, or eight semesters of free tuition and related fees, which may be used as the same time as the veteran and each other at any school in the University of Wisconsin and Wisconsin Technical College for all levels of higher education.
