New Mexico has enacted three new laws to improve military quality of life. The bills, which passed unanimously, beef up the state’s professional licensure opportunities for military spouses, establish Purple Star Schools, and allow families to enroll students in New Mexico schools even before they’ve completed their PCS move. “New Mexico recognizes the stress and challenges a military family faces due to frequent relocations,” Gov. Lujan Grisham (D) said in a press release after signing the bills. “We are fully committed to supporting our military installations and the families who serve.”…

Colorado Springs, Colorado, Mayor John Suthers and other local leaders are asking Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to reverse DOD’s decision late in the Trump administration to move U.S. Space Command from Colorado Springs to Huntsville, Alabama, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported….
