Missouri Gov. Mike Parson (R) and Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly announced a new “National Security Crossroads” collaboration that will help coordinate military-related activities across the two states, according to a press release….

U.S. Army Garrison Alaska and the Federal Aviation Administration teamed up to provide Instrument Landing System certification training courses for technicians on Fort Greely’s Allen Army Airfield. The technicians usually go to Oklahoma to complete the training, but travel restrictions and other circumstances made the trip difficult. “We had the ILS, but we didn’t have any certified technicians,” airfield manager Darren Benson said in a DOD story….

The weapons destruction unit at Bluegrass Army Depot in Richmond, Kentucky has suspended operations amid a regional COVID-19 surge that has filled local hospitals, WTVQ TV reported. The contract to run that part of the depot’s work stipulates that there must be hospital beds available in the area in case there’s an accident.
