Service Members, Vets Poised to Get Life Insurance Boost

October 4, 2022

A bill passed by Congress would increase the life insurance amount a service member or veteran is eligible for, the first such increase in about 17 years, as Military.com reported.

“Our military families support our war fighters in dangers of battle and through the most difficult times,” bill sponsor Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.) said in a video statement. “We hope they never receive that horrible call, but when one of our service members pays the ultimate sacrifice, their family should be taken care of.”
