House Sends NDAA to Senate

December 9, 2022

The House passed a new version of the fiscal year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act Thursday by a vote of 350-80. The revised bill was drafted with hopes of passing in both chambers. It includes a repeal of the Pentagon’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

“We’ve come together in a bipartisan, bicameral way to reflect our values and support the men and women who serve in our military and give us the opportunity to meet our national security requirements,” House Armed Services Committee Chair Adam Smith (D-Wash.) said on the House floor.

The Senate will consider the bill next.
