Ebbing Air National Guard, Arkansas will be home to the Foreign Military Sales Program Pilot Training Center, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported. The mission is expected to bring 900 service members and their families to the city of Fort Smith and nearby areas as they train allies on F-16s and F-35s. The jets are set to arrive in June. “We are ready and willing to welcome these military members and their families to our community and show them the true meaning of Fort Smith hospitality,” said Fort Smith Mayor George McGill. Congressman Steve Womack (R-Ark.) said, “Fort Smith’s central location, existing infrastructure and airspace were essential differentiators, but the people of Fort Smith and their desire to support national defense were truly the deciding factor.”…

A new community dog park at the former March Air Force Base, California features plaques about military working dogs, The Press-Enterprise reported. “Having a military war dog-themed park, on former military lands, seemed very appropriate and fitting for our area,” March Joint Powers Authority Executive Director Grace Martin said.
