To prepare for the upcoming severe weather season, Fort Polk, Louisiana partnered with the state’s Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and the Louisiana National Guard for a disaster response exercise, according to a DVIDS story. “We learned a lot and strengthened our already strong relationships,” said Mark Leslie, director of Fort Polk Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security. “Exercises such as this one help maintain those relationships.”
