Former Treasury Officials: Feds Can Stop Foreign Investment Near Installations; ADC Connect to Tackle the Issue

June 1, 2023

When it comes to foreign investments in property near installations, the executive branch “has the national security authority to review real estate transactions” and “needs to do a better job of understanding and exercising that authority,” former Treasury Department officials Tyler McGaughey and Thomas Feddo wrote in a March op-ed in The Hill.

ADC is tackling this topic at ADC Connect. The event, “Foreign Investment Near Military Installations and the Role of Defense Communities,” is taking place June 22 in Washington, D.C.

“This forum will look to define specific challenges, explore current actions being undertaken by DOD, Congress and other federal agencies, and begin to define the role defense communities must have in addressing this issue,” according to the ADC Connect web site.

Early bird registration is available through Friday.
