Air Force Resumes Some PCS Moves

July 24, 2023

The Air Force said Friday that some airmen can continue moves to their next duty station. The service had temporarily halted all PCS moves because of a budget shortfall due to higher-than-expected personnel costs, as Air Force Times reported.

Now any service members who are moving by September can continue with their moves. Anyone moving in the new fiscal year that starts Oct. 1 will have to wait until further notice.

“The Air Force will continue to communicate with airmen whose PCS orders have not been completed,” the service said.
