Senate Republicans have added five freshman members to the Armed Services Committee, Roll Call reported, noting the prized committee seats are often reserved for more senior members.
Republican Senators Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.), Kevin Cramer (N.D.), Josh Hawley (Mo.), Martha McSally (Ariz.) and Rick Scott (Fla.) will join the panel.
Democrats have three new members, none of them freshmen. They are Senators Tammy Duckworth (Ill.), Doug Jones (Ala.) and Joe Manchin (W.V.), who returns after a two-hear hiatus, according to Roll Call.
