A lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court of Idaho seeks to halt Mountain Home Air Force Base from conducting urban close air support training exercises over nine southern Idaho cities, the Idaho Press reported. Boise residents and an environmental organization filed charges that the Air Force began “conducting project training operations over the urban centers” before the training operations review process was complete….
Neighbors of Robins Air Force Base, Ga., are registering complaints about early morning firing range noise as Air Force Reserves from Dobbins Air Reserve Base conduct target practice while their usual firing range is under construction, Military.com reported…
The Air Force will test water around Luke Air Force Base, Ariz., after tests revealed high levels of toxins in the base’s water supply, azcentral.com reported. Elevated levels of potentially harmful toxins have been found in surface and groundwater but not in the base drinking water, according to a base spokesperson.
