Lawmakers Try to Revive Disaster Aid Bill

April 7, 2019

House Democrats are trying again to advance a disaster aid bill that would include some storm recovery money for Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla., and Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., Politico reported. The bill has stalled in the Senate over President Trump’s concerns it allocates too much to Puerto Rico to continue hurricane recovery.
DOD has said it will take about $9 billion for recovery at Tyndall, Offutt, and Camp Lejeune, N.C.
