NextEra Energy Resources dropped plans to build a wind farm that had been opposed by Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission (OSMPC), the Enid News & Eagle reported. Fort Jackson, S.C., had a big week celebrating its recognition as a Great American Defense Community while also hosting Army Secretary Mark Esper, the Charlotte Observer reported. The state’s Midlands region and Columbia, S.C., both took the opportunity to show the service’s top official and a group of 78 civilian aides they are serious about their support for the military.
