Idaho National Laboratory has established the INL Resilience Optimization Center (IROC) as an innovation center for system resilience and risk management in an era of increasing cyberattacks, according to a press release. “The rapid proliferation of telecommunications and computer systems all connected to each other has created new dimensions of vulnerability and risk to every organization,” said IROC Director Ron Fisher. “INL has focused on this in unique ways for a long time, and the IROC is our commitment to offer resilience solutions to the nation.”…
Officials from Montgomery, Ala., and Hampton Roads, Va., are part of a growing nationwide effort by military community leaders and Pentagon officials to highlight the need for quality local education, according to a Forbes report. The secretaries of the military services wrote a letter to the National Governor’s Association asking that the nation’s governors pay specific attention to school quality, among other key issues….
Naval Air Station Oceana, Va., invites the private sector, government agencies, the commonwealth of Virginia, and local municipalities to attend its P4 Industry Day, Friday, June 14, 1-4 p.m. Potential opportunities include compatible development of underutilized installation facilities and real estate. The installation released a background paper with additional information.
