ADC's Partnership Bootcamp Coming Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in Monterey, Calif.

Is your defense community new to the concept of public-public partnerships and how to implement robust, sustainable and Intergovernmental Support Agreements (ISGAs)? ADC is hosting another two-day Partnership Bootcamp Oct. 31-Nov. 1 in Monterey, Calif., where attendees will learn the basics of ISGAs based on the successful model the City of Monterey pioneered more than 20 years ago.
Monterey has a pioneering heritage and is known as the first defense community to implement a robust sustainable public-public partnership model, now known as the Monterey Model. The original IGSA the City of Monterey implemented has become the standard for all services to enter into mutually beneficial relationships between installations, local governments and counties. Monterey’s partnerships with the Army and the Navy have been established for more than 20 years.
This is a valuable learning and networking opportunity for community and installation leaders who have a hand in partnership development. The bootcamp’s agenda will draw from the vast knowledge of the people who pioneered the IGSA partnership model. Attendees will learn from past and present implementers, managers and Army representatives, and hear detailed presentation of what worked, what didn’t, obstacles encountered, and effective solutions. The program will also include a site visit of the Presidio of Monterey.
