The House easily passed a stopgap spending bill Tuesday. The Senate has two days to pass it and get President Trump’s signature before the current continuing resolution expires Thursday night.
The new CR extends current spending levels through Dec. 20 to give extra time to settle disputes holding up the 12 annual spending bills. The chief issue is whether to fund a U.S.-Mexico border wall and at what level.
A senior administration official said Tuesday that the President will sign the CR, according to CQ.
The CR also provides yearlong funding to raise military pay by 3.1%.
