An inter-agency task force in Connecticut has reported recommendations on how to deal with PFAS contamination in the state, Gov. Ned Lamont (D) announced in a press release. Among the plan’s recommendations is to increase communication and collaboration with contamination-affected communities….
The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource in Warner Robins will now be able to train veterans to become electricians, according to the Macon Telegraph. Center CEO Patricia Ross said a survey of industry leaders identified it as the state’s most in-demand trade. The Atlanta-based Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation is providing a $100,000 grant to start the program….
The Indiana National Guard will be the first unit in the Midwest to host a cyber battalion, AP reported. About 100 soldiers will be trained on cyber warfare and cyber security at the Muscatatuck Urban Training Center in Jennings County. “It’s an honor for Indiana to be home to those who protect our country from computer-generated threats,” Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) said.
