House to Vote on Spending Deal Tuesday

December 16, 2019

The House will consider two spending packages on the floor Tuesday, including one that would allocate $693 billion for defense spending, about $18 billion more than current spending levels and slightly lower than the Administration’s initial request.
Appropriators released the text and a summary late Monday.
The two “minibus” spending bills, which cost $1.4 trillion combined, are expected to pass the House and work their way through the Senate before Friday night’s shutdown deadline.
