At a Pentagon ceremony, the Army Community Partnership Program honored partnerships in Arizona, California, Maryland, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Texas and Virginia. “The fence line has become the front line,” Alex Beehler, assistant secretary of the Army for installations, energy and environment, said, according to a DOD story. “And that clearly means the surrounding communities are very much integral to any Army installation, any military base, particularly the large ones.”…
Drinking water in Pennsylvania is not widely contaminated by PFAS, the state announced after a round of preliminary testing, The Morning Call reported. “PFAS chemicals were not detected in two-thirds of the sites sampled,” the news report said. “The remaining sites showed concentrations well below the federal health advisory level.”
