Personnel, Readiness Chief Leaves DOD

James Stewart has left his role as acting under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness. Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced Stewart’s resignation in a tweet Friday, wishing him well but offering no explanation for the change.
Matt Donovan, the under secretary of the Air Force, will take over Stewart’s duties, Military.com reported. Donovan recently served as acting Air Force secretary.
Shon Manasco, the assistant secretary of the Air Force for manpower and reserve affairs, will take over Donovan’s role.
