There is less of a linkage between increased combat operations and suicide than most people think, a sweeping new study suggests.
The study reviewed 180 years of Army suicide data, Military Times reported.
“Historical data suggests that combat and increased rates of suicide do not appear to be associated, but may be affected by a host of other factors,” the study states.
The report was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association and can be found online.
