Here is a roundup of some of the latest Space Force updates:

  • Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Chief of Space Operations Gen. John Raymond had what Raymond called “a really good conversation” with President Donald Trump about planning to get the new branch off the ground. Raymond talked in depth with Space News about the organizational planning.
  • The Space Development Agency will become part of the Space Force by October 2022, SDA Director Derek Tournear told reporters Tuesday, according to Defense News.
  • The Space Force shared the first glimpse of its new uniform in a weekend tweet. The camo design is based on Air Force and Army uniforms, which DOD said was more efficient than starting over.
