Charles Williams told senators last week that he was “livid” about problems in the military’s privatized housing system and would address the concerns as his first action if confirmed as the Navy’s assistant secretary for installations.
Williams is a St. Louis real estate executive and retired Navy admiral.
It’s unclear when the Senate will vote on his confirmation. The Senate’s impeachment trial starts Tuesday, and all other floor business is on hold until that wraps up.
