Robins Air Force Base Opens Software Innovation Lab in Macon, Ga.

February 18, 2020

A new software innovation facility has opened in Macon as a result of a collaboration among Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex, Macon-Bibb County government and Mercer University, reported WMAZ.

It is estimated the lab will bring 50 tech-orientated jobs to the city. Upon opening of the facility, the installation reports it has seven base-related projects in development that will be worked on by engineers employed at the complex.

“The most exciting thing that this will bring in the future is innovation and creative spirit,” says Warner Robins Air Logistics Complex commander, Brig. Gen. John Kubinec. “It’s one of the reasons we wanted to be in downtown Macon.”

Construction of the lab began in October 2019.
