Inhofe Running for Fifth Senate Term

March 9, 2020

U.S. Senator James M. Inhofe, current chair of the Senate Armed Services Committee, announced he will seek reelection, CQ reported.

The 85-year-old Republican has been a senator in Oklahoma since 1994. As of Dec. 31 Inhofe had $2.3 million in his campaign account.

Inhofe made the announcement with a campaign video of him flying his plane upside down. “When people say: ‘You’re too old to run (for reelection),’ my response is always: ‘When I’m too old to fly an airplane upside down, then I’m too old to run.’”
