Military Child Care Priority to Begin June 1

March 10, 2020

The DOD recently published a memorandum outlining new policies with regard to priority access to child care for military members.
“I have directed changes to the current child care priorities to clarify situations where military families will be afforded priority access, to include supplanting lower priority patrons when necessary,” said the DOD memo.

Changes also include a clarification of the definition of a working spouse, the notification process for child care discontinuation, and establishing changes of mission requirements as an exception to child care flexibility. MilitaryChildCare.com will continue to serve as the gateway for child care waitlist requests.
