Senate Confirms Williams as Navy Installations Chief

Charles Williams was officially confirmed Thursday to become the assistant secretary of the Navy for installations, energy and the environment. President Donald Trump had nominated Williams, a Missouri real estate developer, late last year.

The Navy had considered cutting the position altogether as part of a senior leadership restructuring but got pushback from lawmakers and defense communities.
