Hawaii-based retail store Hilo Hattie has entered into a contract with the United States Air Force to produce and distribute nearly 200,000 face masks over the coming year, reports Biz Journals.
“For over 50 years Hilo Hattie has been clothing those who love Hawaii. It’s appropriate that we continue to spread aloha during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mark Storfer, COO of Hilo Hattie.
The masks will primarily serve the needs of service members and staff at Hawaii and Guam military bases; additional orders will help those stationed in Saipan, South Korea and Japan as well.
