September 16, 2020

Today is the annual Military Spouse Employment Summit hosted by Hiring Our Heroes (HoH).

The event will be held September 17th from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Author Tina Brown will host this year’s event. Military spouse and anchor of CNN Right Now, Brianna Keilar, will moderate a panel with Gen. James C. McConville, chief of staff of the U.S. Army, and his spouse, Maria.

“The 2020 virtual Summit will explore the long-term viability of the innovative employment solutions adopted during this time and how they impact military spouses. Further, applied research stands as the foundation for continued progress within the military spouse employment space,” wrote HoH on its event website.

Additional panel topics include how upskilling and reskilling gives military spouses a competitive advantage; the adaptability of the community during COVID-19; and information behind the research-based approach to overcoming obstacles in employment.

The event will also unveil the Military Spouse Roadmap — a free digital tool for military spouses to use on their career journey.
