Biden Stops Short of Mandating Vaccine for Service Members

President Joe Biden said it is a “tough call” on whether to require all military personnel to get the coronavirus vaccine, telling The Today Show Friday that he will leave that decision to the military – for now – noting the risks of going unvaccinated.

“You are in such close proximity of other military personnel, whether you are in a quarters where you are all sleeping or you are out on maneuvers,” Biden said.

As of Wednesday, about 23% of the total force had been fully vaccinated, Military.com reported.
