Tampa has received this year’s Military Spouse Impact Award for Community of the Year by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Hiring Our Heroes initiative, according to a press release. “We’re proud to live, work, and play in a community that not only says they support military families, but that actively puts words into action to support our nation’s heroes,” Tampa Bay Chamber President & CEO Bob Rohrlack said….

Maj. Gen. JP McGee, commander of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, said at a virtual town hall this week that unvaccinated soldiers will have limited travel opportunities this summer, Nashville Public Radio reported. “If you are an unvaccinated soldier, you should not consider it business as usual as you start making plans with your family.”…

The Jackson County Economic Development Foundation is soliciting bids to develop a strategic innovation plan for Jackson County, Mississippi. Responses are due in June.
