DOD Wants Community Input on Military Air Traffic Noise

DOD’s Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation is asking for community input on the noise associated with military fixed-wing aircraft. OLDCC’s Community Noise Mitigation initiative is focused on understanding the needs of areas with high-noise traffic “to develop a program that may then support noise mitigation actions by these communities.”

DOD is seeking input from communities near 205 installations. Community members can share feedback through a custom form.
