The Texas National Guard has constructed new barracks at Camp Swift using a 3D printer, a first for the U.S. military, Stars and Stripes reported. DOD invested $128 million last year to support efforts to restore the Chesapeake Bay, the Virginian-Pilot reported. DOD is part of the Chesapeake Bay Program. “Since 1984, DOD has been a committed partner in Chesapeake Bay watershed restoration,” said Rear Adm. Charles Rock, commander of the Navy’s Mid-Atlantic Region.
