Federal Contractor Employees Have Until Dec. 8 to Get Vaccinated

Employees for government contractors and subcontractors have until Dec. 8 to prove they are fully vaccinated unless they obtain an exemption, according to guidance from the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force. The guidance also includes a list of frequently asked questions about COVID protocols.

The order covers all U.S.-based employees of a company that does government work, including employees who do not directly work on federal contracts.

President Joe Biden is also requiring all federal employees to get vaccinated, and each of the military services has set its own timeline for mandatory vaccination of service members.
