Congress has sent President Biden legislation allowing the Capitol Police to request assistance from the D.C. National Guard without approval from the Capitol Police Board. It’s a way to help the force react more quickly in future emergencies….

Sixteen civilian employees at Fort Knox, Kentucky have just finished the eight-week Fort Knox Garrison Leadership Academy. There are two eight-week courses each year, according to an Army news story. “This came about through our strategic planning process when a new, young, emerging leader said, ‘There are things I don’t know how to do,’” said Randy Moore, director of Family and Morale, Welfare & Recreation at Fort Knox. “Everything that the person talked about was really about the art of leadership. We realized we needed to figure out a way to fix this.”
