The commander of the Space Force’s Space Launch Delta 30 is working to make Vandenberg Space Force Base, California a “national spaceport,” Air Force Magazine reported. Only “a few locations in the world… offer what we can provide here,” Col. Robert Long said. “No. 1 is location—but then just the infrastructure that’s been built up over the decades.”…

A new, much larger visitor’s center at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas will improve the already strong relationship the base has with its community, leaders said. The Abilene Chamber of Commerce’s Military Affairs Committee applied for and won a state Defense Economic Adjustment Assistance grant for the project, along with a matching grant from the Development Corporation of Abilene, according to the Abilene Reporter. “It just shows the ironclad commitment that the town of Abilene has for Dyess Air Force Base,” commander Maj. Scott Hlavin said.
