DOD Says Service Members Still Expected to Get COVID-19 Shots, Despite Court Ruling on Employee Mandates

DOD lawyers say that when a federal judge in Texas halted vaccine mandates for federal workers, it covered DOD civilian personnel but not service members, Stars and Stripes reported.

“We have not been informed of any changes to the vaccination policy for service members,” a Pentagon spokesperson told the outlet Monday.

The Pentagon maintains that a number of vaccines are required for enlisting in the military and that the coronavirus vaccine is now on that list.
