Army Begins Separating Vaccine Refusers as ‘Risk to the Force’

February 3, 2022

The Army has ordered commanders to start separating uniformed personnel who continue to refuse the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a memo from Army Secretary Christine Wormuth.

“Unvaccinated soldiers present risk to the force and jeopardize readiness,” Wormuth said, according to an Army news story. “We will begin involuntary separation proceedings for soldiers who refuse the vaccine order and are not pending a final decision on an exemption.”
