Army Secretary Wormuth to Join ADC Summit

January 20, 2023

Army Secretary Christine Wormuth will address hundreds of defense community leaders and their partners in the military services and industry at the Defense Communities National Summit in March, ADC announced this week.

“We are thrilled that Secretary Wormuth is joining us at the Summit. Her leadership is helping transform Army communities like mine but is also important to all installations and defense communities,” said ADC Vice President Karen Holt, who is also federal installation administrator for the Harford County Office of Economic Development near Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Wormuth’s appearance at the Summit will take place around the time a newly divided Congress will likely be discussing the fiscal year 2023 budget and the 2023 defense authorization bill.

“We look forward to hearing her insights as we continue working with senior DOD leaders toward a ‘One Community’ approach to supporting military families, mission readiness and community partnerships,” Holt said.

The 2023 Defense Communities National Summit is taking place March 6-8 in Arlington, Virginia, near the Pentagon and Capitol Hill. The agenda includes three days of keynote remarks, panels, case studies, networking opportunities, congressional meetings and more. Registration is open now.
